The Badlands Sabres opened the weekend on Friday night with game 1 of a 2 game series vs the Bozeman Icedogs. A hard fought battle between both teams and solid goaltending on both ends, the Icedogs where able to put a dagger in the hopes with 3min remaining in the 3rd period to go up by a goal. Despite best efforts, the Sabres could not tie up the game in the last few seconds to have Bozeman take the first game 3-2. Goals for the Sabres in the game Brooks Roaldson (2) and Peyton Wilson (1).
Saturday night saw the game kick off with some physical and fast play with the Sabres notching the first goal, and a highlight reel one it was by Ryan Jordan (1). However the Icedogs would make the 3rd period their strongest of the weekend series scoring 4 unanswered goals to take a 5-2 victory and sweep the weekend series. Carter Kilen (1) score the second goal for the Sabres.
